Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Good Mexican restaurant especially considering the location at a farmer's market. They make me feel like I'm back in Texas or Mexico with their maize con Chile a.k.a. corn with pepper. If you ever have one of these your mouth will water just thinking about them.

The food here was pretty darn good once we finally got it, but the service/wait was almost unbearable. Luckily there was the Mexican Street Corn to keep us busy while we waited probably almost 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Loved the corn but I prefer a bit more lime and some cilantro on mine... Would definitely get theirs again though. It was the highlight of our trip to the New Castle Farmer's Market. The chips and salsa were pretty darn tasty, my husbands burrito was huge and he seemed to enjoy it. Me - I got the Huevos Rancheros and decided I could eat that basically every day for the rest of my life and be happy. Served with corn tortillas, rice and beans, two perfectly cooked fried eggs topped with a delicious tomato sauce... Mmmm good!

I want to start off by saying that this establishment is inside of New Castle farmers market. The food was pretty good, the thing that I like is that they give you huge portions! It is not bad and again it is inside a farmers market so what do you expect, 5 stars? I personally would go eat there again, but that is me.

It's always a good sign (in my opinion anyway) when you go to a Mexican place and it is being frequented by actual Hispanic people. Los Jarritos showed a lot of promise for this reason when my coworkers and I stopped to eat during a trip to the New Castle Farmers Market. After waiting about 10 minutes a waiter never came so we went and asked for one. We were just about to give up when they finally came over to us. We ordered our food and then had to wait probably another 30-45 minutes for the food to be ready and they ended up putting the wrong kind of meat into my friend's burrito and had to take it back. She had to wait another 15-20 minutes for the replacement. In all we probably were at the restaurant for nearly 1.5-2 hrs just trying to eat some quick food. The food itself was good, although nothing that blew me away. The waiter was very nice but obviously overwhelmed. I would not go back!

Nice place and one of the best mexican cuisine we've had at a decent price, we have been to La Tolteca on Concord Pike, and Tolteca express food was not so good and we even got sick at La Tolteca Express, not to mention the horrible margaritas they prepare. At any rate, there is an average wait at Jarritos, but the place is usually pretty busy and the food is being prepared/cooked fresh on the spot, so waiting is not a problem for us, we actually prefer to wait, the trade off is great/fresh food. We go back time and again. 5 Stars.

Walked in and waited five minutes to get a server to drop off menus and walked away. Saw a roach on the wall. Promptly left after that.

Great little restaurant with really great food. Service could be better but the food makes up for it. Went this weekend and ordered their shrimp and steak fajitas which were delicious. Servings are very generous as well. Will definitely go again.
